A VR build idles clean, runs on pump gas (or E85...), sits in traffic on a hot day, drives across the country if you want it to, and still delivers the number when you ask for it. Drivability and reliability get the same weight as output. They always have.
Power is the easy part. Anyone can add boost and a tune. The part that takes years to get right is everything around it: part-throttle behavior, transmission calibration, cooling under load, fuel delivery, and the hundred small decisions that separate a fast car from a car you actually want to drive.

Vengeance Racing develops on its own cars. VR buys the platform, builds it, tunes it, and races it, and the package only gets offered once the combination is proven. Thousands of dyno pulls and years of race results sit behind these five packages. No client car is ever the experiment. What lands on your car is the finished version, narrowed down to five packages that work, not five ways to move you into the next one.
Each package is a complete job, engineered and sold on its own. Stage 1 isn't step one of something bigger waiting behind it, it's the finished build for the driver who wants a specific, provable gain today. Same for Stage 3. Same for Stage 5. That said, plenty of clients start at Stage 1 or Stage 2 and come back a year or two later ready for Stage 4 or Stage 5, once they've lived with the car and decided they want more. Most of them do. These packages are built with that in mind: buy the one that fits where you are right now, and when you're ready for more, call the shop first so VR can quote around what's already on the car instead of selling you a duplicate part.
These packages keep moving, too. As new parts prove out and better combinations get validated on the dyno, the parts list behind each stage gets updated to match. What's on this page is the current version of years of ongoing work, not something written once and left alone.

Stage 1 is for the owner who wants their car to feel like it should have from the factory. Better breathing, more boost, and a calibration built around the result. Nothing gets opened up. The car stays a daily, stays on pump gas, and stays in warranty-friendly territory for most people.

Where it sits: still a daily, still pump gas, just not quiet about it anymore.
Stage 2 is Stage 1 plus a real exhaust. Long tubes and a full system let the engine exhale, and the car stops sounding like it just came off the lot. This is the point where it announces itself before anyone sees the badge. Power climbs, but honestly, most people who pick Stage 2 do it for the sound and the character as much as the number.
Still a daily. Still pump gas. Just no longer quiet about it.
Where it sits: the last stage before the engine comes apart.
Stage 3 stops adding parts around the supercharger and starts working on the supercharger itself. Ported, re-geared, better airflow in and out, and the fuel system upgraded to keep up. This is where you extract everything the factory blower is actually capable of.
Stage 3 is for the owner who’s decided this is a serious car, not a mildly modified one. It’s the last stage before the engine comes apart.
Where it sits: where the car stops sounding modified and starts sounding built.
Stage 4 is a different class of build. The valvetrain comes apart and a custom camshaft goes in, backed by the hardware to support it. This is where the car stops sounding modified and starts sounding built. Idle changes. Powerband changes. Character changes.
Stage 4 is for people who are done with bolt-ons and want the car that makes that classic VR sound with the power to back it up.
Where it sits: the ceiling. Past this, you’re not modifying the engine anymore.
Stage 5 is everything Stage 4 does, plus CNC-ported cylinder heads. It’s the most the factory supercharger will give you while the car still drives on 93 octane and still behaves on the street.
Stage 5 is the end of this road. Past this point you’re not modifying the engine anymore, you’re replacing what’s on top of it. If you want the maximum version of this platform without changing what it fundamentally is, this is it.

Stage 1 is calibration, a cold air intake, and the supporting bolt-ons. The gains come from letting it breathe and then telling it what to do with the air.
Factory tunes are written for emissions, fuel economy, and the worst gas in the worst state. Yours does not have to be. On a naturally aspirated engine that shows up in throttle response as much as at the top of the tach.

Exhaust does more here than most people expect. Nothing is forcing air in, so everything the engine makes comes down to how freely it moves air on its own, and the factory manifolds are the biggest restriction on the car.
It also stops sounding like it came off the lot. Most people who pick Stage 2 do it for the sound as much as the number. On a naturally aspirated engine those arrive together.
Where it sits: the last stage before the engine comes apart.
Stage 3 reworks the intake side. Ported manifold, matched throttle body, and the fuel system brought up where the engine needs it.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 help the engine breathe with the parts it already has. Stage 3 replaces those parts. Every combination is proven on VR’s own cars before it goes on a client car.
Stage 3 is for the owner who has decided this is a serious car, not a mildly modified one. It is the last stage before the engine comes apart.
Where it sits: the maximum output the factory-provided components will make.
Stage 4 opens the top end. A custom camshaft with the valvetrain hardware to support it, and CNC-ported cylinder heads with it.
On a naturally aspirated engine the cam and the heads are one decision. A cam without heads to feed it leaves power on the table. Heads without a cam to use them do the same. VR specs them as a matched combination and calibrates them as one.
This is where the car stops sounding modified and starts sounding like VR built it. Idle changes. Powerband changes. Character changes.
The block and rotating assembly are still what the car came with. Stage 4 is the most output available without changing them.
Where it sits: a full engine build, with displacement as the starting point.
Stage 5 is a complete engine build. A stroker rotating assembly goes in, displacement goes up, and everything Stage 4 does comes with it.
Stage 4 gets everything out of the engine the car came with. Stage 5 builds a different one. More displacement moves more air on every cycle, and that is the one thing porting and cam timing cannot manufacture. Power arrives lower and pulls harder through the middle.
Assembly happens in-house, in VR’s clean room, with every clearance measured and recorded.

Stage 1 is the right first move: better breathing, more boost, and a tune, nothing opened up. Not required, but it’s the sensible place to start for most owners, and if you’re not sure, start there. Each stage includes everything below it, so there’s no repurchasing lower-stage parts if you move up later. Plenty of clients do start at Stage 1 or 2 and come back for Stage 4 or 5 once they’ve lived with the car and want more, that’s normal and expected. Buy the package that fits your car and your goals right now, and call the shop when you’re ready for the next one.
If VR installed your current stage, moving up is straightforward, the shop’s records already show what’s on the car. If you installed parts yourself or through another shop, call before ordering online. VR can quote around what’s already there instead of billing you for a duplicate part.
Stage 1 and 2 builds are built to be invisible day to day. Stage 3 and up ask more of the owner, higher octane, a different idle, more attention, in exchange for more output. VR will tell you straight whether a given stage fits how you actually plan to drive the car.

Custom builds are a normal part of what VR does. Bring in the target number and the intended use, and VR specs a package to hit it.
No. The stage number tells you where a package sits on the intensity scale, foundation, airflow, supercharger, camshaft, ceiling, not a sequence you have to move through. What’s actually in each stage is specific to the engine and platform. A naturally aspirated platform has no supercharger stage to optimize, so the camshaft and cylinder heads can land earlier in its lineup than they do on a supercharged LT4.

Yes, and it happens constantly. VR coordinates enclosed transport to Cumming and back, and sends progress updates and photos through the build so you are not guessing. Clients also fly in to pick cars up and drive them home, which is a good way to spend the first day with the car. Call the shop and VR will work out the logistics with the quote.
Sometimes, and it depends what you are comparing.
A VR package quote covers parts, professional installation, a full street and dyno calibration, and the Vengeance Racing Limited Warranty. Plenty of quotes do not include all four. Those read cheaper on paper. Compare what is actually inside the number before you compare the numbers.
The other half of the answer is development. VR proves these combinations on its own R&D cars before selling them. You are not paying for someone to work it out on your car, which is why the build gets done once instead of two or three times. Cheap work that has to be redone is the most expensive kind.
If budget is the deciding factor, say so on the phone. VR will tell you straight what a given stage takes and whether it fits what you want to spend. Nobody here is interested in selling you a build you cannot finish.
A large share of VR's builds arrive from outside Georgia. Not being local has never stopped a build, and it should not stop yours.
VR coordinates transport in both directions. Tell the shop where the car sits and VR handles pickup, delivery to Cumming, and the return trip when the work is finished. The car is handled by carriers VR uses regularly, not whoever answered the phone first. All of our clients get build updates and photos as the work progresses. You do not have to wonder what is happening to your car eight hundred miles away.
