RACE DIVISION
Race Division builds race cars.
The first 8-second nitrous GTO. The first 7-second A10 6th Gen ZL1. Nine world's firsts between them, and not one of them happened by accident.
Road course, drag, half-mile, roll racing. Different disciplines, different weekends, same shop. When there is a record sitting on the table, VR has been first to it before.
THE RECORD
Nine world's firsts. Twenty years.
It starts in 2011 with the first 8-second nitrous GTO and runs through 2024 and the first 7-second A10 6th Gen ZL1. In between is the reason people ship cars here from all across the country.
SALT ran 190.36 in the half-mile and took second in Manual class at Indy. FATMAN put a twin turbo C6 Z06 on the map and has been getting mentioned by name ever since.
None of this is a claim. It is a list, and the list is public.
ROAD COURSE
A road course car is judged on lap twenty, not lap one.
Anybody can make one fast lap. Doing it again with hot brakes, climbing oil temps, and twenty-minute-old tires is the actual job. That is where the build effort goes. Horsepower and torque designed for your driving style, class, and rule set.
DRAG RACING
Everything on a drag car is in service of the first sixty feet.
Power the car cannot put down is not power. Chassis, suspension, and driveline are the build, and the engine is the part that has to live behind them. Consistency wins rounds that raw speed does not.
HALF - MILE
Half-mile asks for a car the quarter never does.
Long pull, big speeds, different failures. Cooling and fuel that hold up all the way to the traps, gearing for the top end, and a car that stays planted where it starts getting light. Power under the whole curve, not one point on it.
ROLL RACING
Roll racing is a top-end fight.
Which moves everything. Gearing, how the transmission behaves under load, cooling that survives a long pull, and calibration that holds together at the top of the tach far longer than anything else asks. This is the discipline where the tune separates cars the most, and calibration is what this shop is known for.
HOW IT STARTS
With a conversation, not a parts list.
Tell VR what you are running, where you run it, and what winning looks like to you. If there is a class involved, bring what you know about it and the build gets planned to fit. If you are still figuring out where you want to race, that is a normal place to start too.

Do I need to already be racing?
No. A fair number of these cars belong to people running their first season. Say so on the call and the plan gets built around learning the car, not just building it.
I run a specific class. Can you work within it?
Yes, and it is the easier way to do it. Tell VR what class you are in and the build gets planned to fit from the start. Sorting that out early is a lot cheaper than sorting it out at tech.
Will the car still be street legal?
Depends on the build and on your state. Some of these cars drive to dinner. Others leave on a trailer and that is the end of it. You will know which one you are getting before the work starts.
